About the artist
Joanne Bell, a Wilbraham photographer, finds much of her inspiration in parks and open spaces throughout the Pioneer Valley. Landscapes and florals are her most frequent subjects, but she doesn’t limit her work to any particular genre. In addition to solo exhibits, Joanne participates in local and international juried exhibitions.
I do photography for the joy of it. The entire process, from taking the photos through post processing, brings me great pleasure. The scenes, the personalities, the emotions depicted in my works are waiting to be found in the world around us. Through a combination of discovery and technique, a fleeting moment becomes a work of art. It enables me to share with others beauty that might otherwise be overlooked.
