About the artist
Hannah Rosenbaum is a self-taught artist and musician based out of Hatfield, Massachusetts. She works at the intersection of visual imagery and sound, drawing on the common patterns of energy and emotion. Hannah’s visual and audio selves inspire one another; colors and textures are associated with hearing music, while music is an essential part of her process when creating visual art. Her paintings are whimsical stories of color, inspired by the dynamics of sound, pure emotional reaction to music, and patterns in nature. There is also a therapeutic element to Hannah’s work, which has been largely influenced by her reaction to current events in 2020, and her own way of coping through experiencing sound and using the fluid movement of palette knives in the painting process.
