About the artist
I am a graduate of the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, with a concentration in sculpture. Since then, I have been a paper conservator in private practice; the techniques employed were readily transferable to collage. After volunteering at a Maine boatbuilding school, I found the discarded cutoffs lent themselves to wood assemblage, a natural successor to paper collage.
As an inveterate recycler, I collect discarded wood presumed worthless and give them new life. My recent work involves the viewer, either by giving the piece various hanging options or permitting interactive manipulation of the art.
My works have been exhibited in numerous galleries in the Valley, in Maine and is in private collections.
