The Original Cowards plus The Lucky Shots

Original Cowards are a three piece band from Western Massachusetts comprised of Leo Hwang on bass, Riley Godleski on Drums, harmony vocals, and keys, and John Crand on guitar and vocals. Their upcoming album, Country Club Creeps, features guest spots from area heavy hitters Phillip Price (The Winterpills and Look Park), Andy Goulet (Lucky Shots, Animal Piss, Opal Canyon, Salvation Alley String Band, etc.), Adam Bosse (Fred Cracklin and 23 Ensemble), and Patrick Garland (BenBen Trio, Oakland Stroke). The album draws on influences such as Neil Young, Dinosaur Jr., Guided By Voices, Mick Ronson, The Beatles, Stones, Wilco,and many more. Dig in.

Noam Schatz is the Lucky Shots, a singer, song-writer, and multi-instrumentalist who has written a new song every two weeks since 2016. His well-crafted songs are catchy and tuneful, yet the lyrics point to much deeper thoughts and feelings. On his 2023 debut LP, “Count to Nothing”, the songs are a reflection of the mysteries of the everyday human situation, born of celebration and suffering in equal parts.

The Lucky Shots live band features Western Massachusetts veteran musicians Anand Nayak (Rani Arbo and Daisy Mayhem), Jim Bliss (Stella Kola, APIE, Wet Tuna), and Mike Benoit (The True Believers, Rosie Porter and the Neon Moons).
