Big Yellow Taxi began in 2019 from a longtime desire to offer a tribute to the unique and varied compositions of Joni Mitchell. Teresa Lorenço has been singing Joni Mitchell for most of her life. She decided she wanted to explore the music on a deeper level and offer Joni fans an exciting live music experience that encompassed the many stages of Joni’s career. She crafted a challenging repertoire and assembled the talented group that comprises BYT today. Big Yellow Taxi : The Band feels honored to represent Joni, and bring her fans a unique and powerful show that cannot be found anywhere else.
