Buy TicketsStaged in The Divine Theater at Gateway City Arts in Holyoke, MA, on Friday, October 27th, the Eve of the Hunter’s Moon when the veil becomes most thin, gather with us as our two-night spectacle is set in motion to bear witness when the bone-shakin’ blues of Mark Milloff’s slide guitar-driven corpse crawlers, THE CANNIBAL RAMBLERS, call forth the Valley’s most elusive heavy-hitting shape-shifters, THE SCARY JANE JONES for an unforgettable night of music and dancing. A Full Moon Freakend reconvenes on Saturday the 28th when the rise of the Full Hunter’s Moon unleashes the funk/rock/soul and hiphop howls of Western Mass’s own rougarou live review organ trio, BEAST MODE, and entice The SCARY Jane Jones to corporeal form once again.
Last seen circa 2021, the alter ego of The Mary Jane Jones showcases the showmanship and versatility of this mulit-genre band. Members include songwriter and emotress Mandy Pachios, bassist and in-house recording engineer Chris Ball, Dan “DT Shreds” Thomas on guitar, bluesman Brother Sal at the drums, tenor sax shaman Jeff Fennell and multi-instrumentalist Steve Yarbro on woodwinds and wisecracks, the hypnotizing trumpet of Nick “Gorges” Borges, and resident goddess Kat Ball on the slide trombone. Funkster and bandmate Beau Sasser joins The Jones Friday night at the Hammond B3 organ with guitar hero and Jones regular Josh Hirst. Saturday night showcases local legend Ted Sullivan on the skins in both The Mary Jane Jones and with Darby Wolf and Nate Martel in Beast Mode.
A Full Moon Freakend will be the last headlining shows of the year for The Mary Jane Jones as they flesh out new originals and put the finishing touches on their album set for release this Spring.
