How do I contact Gateway City Arts?

Are animals allowed at GCA?

Service animals are the only animals allowed on the Gateway City Arts properties. Unfortunately, we cannot allow animals in the beer garden due the local food service laws.

Do You Have a lost and found?

If you lost something at Gateway City Arts please email hello@gatewaycityarts.com or call us at (413) 650-2670 and we will try to locate the item and store it in a safe location for pick up. If pickup is not an option, we will ship your item for a fee.

I am with an organization that wants to collaborate, how do I get in touch?

Please send us an email with your event, marketing, or fundraiser proposal to hello@gatewaycityarts.com for us to review.

Is there a dress code?

Gateway City Arts does not have a dress code, however we do reserve the right to refuse service to patrons dressed without a shirt, shoes, or attire covering private parts.

Can I reserve a table for a show?

Unfortunately we do not take reservations on show nights due to the large number or patrons coming to our establishment. Tables set up in the concert hall are on a first come, first served basis and do not have table service. Unfortunately, food from Judd’s can only be ordered and consumed within Judd’s. Food can be ordered within the concert halls from The Bistro or Race Street Tacos.

Is there parking at Gateway City Arts?

While there is no specified lot, there is free street parking on Race Street and on the surrounding streets.

Is there an age limit for shows?

All of our events are 18+, ID required. Those under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian throughout the entire performance. The parent/legal guardian must purchase their own ticket and remain within a few feet of the underage person. We reserve the right to ask for proof of a parent/legal guardian relationship. Patrons under the age of 21 may not consume alcohol under any circumstances, and any minor caught consuming alcohol, and/or anyone providing alcohol to a minor, will be asked to leave and turned over to law enforcement.

If the show is all ages, teens under 18 are welcome, and no ID is required. GCA is a safe, secure and fun environment, but as always, we recommend parents weigh the maturity level and personality of their individual child when deciding on the right age for their child to be allowed to attend concerts.

Children under 5 are free for most events. We recommend calling ahead to ask. Please note that Drag Bingo is strictly 18+.

Is there seating as shows?

The majority of our shows are general admission, standing room only.. Seated shows are on a first come first served basis. Non-seated shows will always have limited seating around the perimeter of the venue. Those needing handicap accessible seating will be accommodated; we recommend contacting the venue ahead of time to ensure proper arrangements.

Is there Handicap accessible seating available?

Gateway City Arts is 100% handicap accessible. The Bistro is on the ground level and the event spaces and Judd’s are accessible by ramps. Our other spaces are accessible up the ramp to Building #1 and then by taking the elevator. Non-seated events will always have limited seating around the perimeter of the venue. Those needing handicap accessible seating will be accommodated; we recommend contacting the venue ahead of time to ensure proper arrangements.

Do you offer discounts for military/veterans, seniors and students?

Yes, we offer 10% off with a valid ID at the Bistro. The discount cannot be applied to alcohol. At this time we cannot offer discounts for concerts or events.

Do you offer discounts for Holyoke Residents?

Yes! Holyoke residents can receive discounted tickets to select concerts and events at GCA. Residents must provide a valid proof of residency at the door and can purchase a ticket for the advanced price rather than the door price. Please call ahead to inquire if the show has a discount.

Is smoking allowed in the venue?

Gateway City Arts is a non-smoking facility per Massachusetts law. This includes vapor pens and e-cigarettes. Smoking is permitted outside in the beer garden during the off-season only.

Will I be searched upon entering the venue?

All bags and backpacks are subject to search. Weapons, illegal drugs, and outside food and alcohol are not allowed. Anyone found with these items on their person will be asked to leave or escorted off the premises. Water bottles are allowed if empty.

Can I bring in my camera?

Professional video and photography is not allowed unless approved by the performing artists. Otherwise, photos are encouraged and are welcome to be shared on social media.

Where do I buy tickets to an event?

All of our events are on sale through Eventbrite. We strongly encourage our customers to purchase tickets directly through Gateway City Arts’ website. The validity of tickets purchased through a third-party seller is not guaranteed. Please use discretion when purchasing outside of Ticketfly. Entrance into Gateway City Arts is only guaranteed with a valid ticket.

Where can I buy tickets without the fee?

Tickets to select shows can purchased without fees in person only at The Bistro during regular business hours. All transactions must be in cash and we will require an email at the time of purchase.

Can I transfer my tickets to someone else?

Yes, tickets can be transferred to a different name. Please contact Gateway City Arts at (413) 650-2670 at least 24 hours in advance of the show.

Food and Dining

Is the Bistro Open when there is an event?

Yes, the Bistro is open during most shows unless otherwise posted. During larger events Race Street Tacos will be the main food service. Food and drink will be served on paper and plastic to ensure safety in a crowded environment.
